Introducing the WiFi Pineapple NANO
Hak5 is excited to debut its 6th generation wireless network auditing tools! The first in this line of two is the WiFi Pineapple NANO. Engineered from the ground up, it's based on the successes and feedback received from the Mark V. The focus is on performance and usability and the result is something totally new. It's not a simple client radio, or just a router or access point. We believe the WiFi Pineapple NANO is the most powerful wireless network auditing tool you can put in your pants. It leverages our unique hardware design and intuitive new web interface to integrate with your pentest workflow.
There's a major emphasis on workflow and usability with the 6th generation WiFi Pineapple platform. We completely re-engineered the web interface, building on modern standards. It's fast, intuitive, responsive and familiar. For example new table views give you a detailed look of the WiFi landscape while context menus provide instant access to core PineAP features and modules. And it's more than just a new web interface - it's an entirely new system built on a modern base and compartmentalized in a way that'll allow us to take the platform to the next level.
Of course modules (previously Infusions) are a core feature. Over the air downloads of community developed add-ons and web front-ends to popular tools remain. The new API is extremely simple for seasoned developers and newcomers alike.
We also put together a really awesome Tactical kit. The case straps to your Everyday-Carry bag and houses the WiFi Pineapple NANO along with Pineapple Juice battery pack. It has been thoughtfully tailored with Hak5 imprint, USB port cut-outs, and our WiFi Pineapple morale patch. We think you'll love the WiFi auditing companion that goes everywhere.
To make it even more mobile, we're introducing our first Android app. The new WiFi Pineapple Connector simplifies USB Internet connection sharing. simply tap to tether and instantly connect to the beautiful new mobile friendly web interface. No root required. Works for most devices with USB Tethering capability. Carrier charges may apply.
When plugging the NANO into a laptop, it will both power on via USB and enumerate as a USB Ethernet adapter, providing access to the WiFi Pineapple network and web interface. This streamlined design results in less cables and less mess overall. The WiFi Pineapple NANO is a true pleasure to work with.
Since it powers over any standard USB port too, long term deployments are simplified. A well placed WiFi Pineapple powered from a USB battery pack or AC adapter, plus a current generation LTE modem means remote access from anywhere in the world.
